ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Sorcha Chisholm's latest solo album HYMNS FOR HER has been two years in the making, it is an eclectic mix of world sounds - celtic, arabic, gospel, blues and ethereal pop which explores themes surrounding feminine spirituality and experience.

Recorded in South Australia and Japan, this is Sorcha's first time to produce her own record with the help of Jakey Slater, Morgan Fisher and KRH Studios.

The album features the talents of several esteemed Tokyo-based musicians: Samm Bennett on drums and percussion, Morgan Fisher on clavichord, Kaoru Arai-Colucci on harp, Dylan Hunter on violin, Robert Moreau on mandolin, Yoichi Petashi Hirai on darbuka, Tommy Jaime on bass, Matt Bigelow on drums and the gospel vocal stylings of Shathani Buckley have created a listening experience that is both fierce and heartfelt in its delivery and content.
