Album Notes
Between 2010 and 2013 Abertronic and I were tinkering away on a number of different projects. These songs were recorded during that time but somehow didn't really fit onto any of the albums I decided to release officially. In early 2017 I asked him to dig them out so I could have another listen. What I heard gave me hope and some wistfulness. My voice sounds younger and somehow naive, but that is what is charming about it. "The Fool" and "Highest Height" were recorded in Tokyo in 2010 and 2011 respectfully, and "The Flower and the Bee" in 2013 in Abe's barn in Hokkaido. The songs all contain themes of vulnerability and the hardships of love, culminating in the ultimate truth of Self-Love.
