Sortin’ the Mail is a five-piece Madison, WI bluegrass band that is made up of members from different generations, backgrounds, and all walks of life. Their music is raw, honest, and at times slightly risque, but their shows provide a great time for all.

Album Notes
Welcome to The Sortin the Mail CD Vol. 2
This has taken way too long to get released. Some of these recordings go back 3 years to Rins first year in the band and the kid's (Alex Genova who is known to me as "the Kid") last year in the band.
All of the recordings are done in the old style around a single vocal mike using a separate bass feed and 1 lead instrument mike shared by the banjo and fiddle.
So we are finally getting it out in 2017. We already have enough original numbers for CD #3. but these 9 tunes needed to see the light of day. They need to be heard and appreciated for what they are, a slice in time.
Thanks to Willie for being a prolific and tilting writer of tunes. Thanks to Rin for learning the BlueGrass ways, thanks to the kid for carrying the Madison BlueGrass scene to the West Coast, the East Coast and now to Tenn. Thanks to Brad for proving us wrong about Iowa. And our newest member, banjo player Matt Beefus Amati, thanks for your banjo and your many other skills including the website and laying out this CD.
Finally a thanks to all of you who support the live music scene in Madison, at festivals and everywhere.
Remember, throw a $5 in the tip jar, it is 1 beer and the band needs another beer.
Peace, Out
