ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A Folk Rock journey inspired by The Hobbit. This easy listening EP gives a glimpse into the Fantasy world of J.R.R. Tolkien. The prequel to the Lord of the Rings has inspired the imaginations of many artists and songwriters since it was first published.

'All That Glitters' by SOUNDESTINY has captured the spirit of Tolkien's masterpiece and portrayed it in a melodic contemporary style. This EP is but a glimpse of the story. A full 12 song hobbit-inspired album will be released by SOUNDESTINY at a later stage. As with other SOUNDESTINY CDs, great melodies, heartfelt lyrics and beautiful harmonies are backed by guitars, pianos, strings and celtic flutes.

The EP combines the talents of Darryl Grant Potter (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Elissa Maclean (vocals) and Kim Sewell (drums & percussion). Additional guitar sequences were performed by Clyde Schipke. Allysa Marie sang and did narration on 'A lonely mountain'.

(No Tolkien verses, character names or place names are used).

A little treasure
I absolutely love this 4 track EP! It magically transported me back in time to my first reading of The Hobbit.
Well done!
