WRITTEN, PERFORMED, AND PRODUCED BY DEREK HELLAND. ENGINEERED & MIXED BY NEIL WEIR AT OLD BLACKBERRY WAY. MASTERED BY BRUCE TEMPLETON AT MAGNETO MASTERING.

Derek Helland continued to make music after his band Victory Ship quit playing in early 2009, shortly after he co-wrote their debut record. In a remarkably short time, Helland has written and performed a new studio album. Former Victory Ship bandmates Michael Fruncillo and Tom Hilde have sinced joined him playing live performances, and the group is ready to release another record under the name Space, Land and Time. While 3/4 of the previous group in theory, the band now has a raw and fresh approach not seen in the past and projects a new sound.

PRESS
“Straight-up rock ‘n’ roll hasn’t sounded this necessary in years. “When even the most discerning of listeners (read: music critic jerks such as myself) can’t find anything to criticize, that’s when you know you’re onto something great. Timeless, even.” - Matthew R. Perrine, Duluth Budgeteer News

“[Their] greatest achievement might be encompassing slivers of so many classic and contemporary artists without really sounding like any of them. “In fact, [they] sport melodies so intricately crafted and impressively sung one would swear these twentysomethings were 10 years older. . .each track is further proof that [they are] not wanting for songwriting talent.”
- Will McClain, City Pages

“I couldn’t help but think that [they are] a Band with a capital ‘B’. Their onstage communication is wonderful. . .As a whole, the 4 piece creates a memorable groove, and they move as one. . .There is no denying [the band] knows how to have fun while putting on a rock show. “The band’s passionate harmonies and great songwriting are reminiscent of [The Jayhawks and Son Volt], but Victory Ship remains terribly hard to peg.”
- David de Young, HowWasTheShow.com
