ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"SPARKY" (THE TALKING DOG) [SUB-GENIUS]... HAS ARRIVED!

Is the planet ready for "Sparky" (TTDSG). Ready or not, here he comes, bringing with him the rough, raw, and dangerous sounds of his badboy rock.

In his own words Sparky(TTDSG) tells us, "I was born of this earth, but my songs are not of this earth." That might be because his inspirations comes from his celestial body, "It was during the Vietnam War, I was a 19-year Second Lieutenant in the Army, I was talking to the sky on a cold and lonely New Year's Eve night, when I decided that I was going to be a songwriter." More earth-bound influences include Bob Dylan, and Jimi Hendricks.

But Sparky(TTDSG) makes it a habit not to listen to the music of others in order to keep his creativity real and original.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Sparky(TTDSG) hitchhiked to Los Angeles at the age of 15. He graduated from what has now become a symbol of the middle class Valley Boy-(Reseda High). He bought his first electric guitar when he was seventeen and promptly wrote his first song.

Sparky(TTDSG) has developed three styles of music. His first style is described as Dylan-meets-Beck-meets-Devo-meets-Sparky(TTDSG). The second style is a combination of extreme hard rock with a folk edge.

Listen closely to the lyrics and you will hear oddly true stories with socially conscious messages. "Most all of the songs defend the underdogs of the earth(often in a rude or funny way) or they tell the joy and pain of being a sub-genius surrounded by people who are not," explained Sparky(TTDSG). For his third style...well that is a tightly kept secret, which will be revealed in time...

The songs on the Music Reinvented CD were finished in just one or two takes to maintain the raw and real quality of the rock rather than to "perfect it to death".

"All CD's numbered for collectabitity".

Sparky(TTDSG) claims that "a little bird" told him that he was to call himself "Sparky" (The Talking Dog) [Sub-genius..] and fame and fortune would come to him.

He has vowed to defend the underdogs of the earth and give (at least) 49% to charity. His motto is "He's Stupid." A strange mix of sub-genius with an odd mix of stupidity marks the arrival of this unique artist. Love him or hate him, there is none like him.

Listen to the words and decide for yourself.
Get ready, for "The Dog." has arrived....

"Sparky" (The Talking Dog) [Sub-genius...] is available for interviews. He is energetic and intense. Can "You" handle it?

Ask him about his invention of the duel cylinder revolver, which holds 22 patents, and his minimalist punk art as seen in the centerfold of the Music Reinvented CD.

Peace...
