Album Notes
With a sound like Sting, Darlene Zschech, and Fernando Ortega you will feel like you have reached an oasis in the Christian music desert upon hearing this "thirst no more" music.

This new release from Spasenie [spa-sen-ya] features the velvet, angelic voice of critically acclaimed singer Becky Sharpe, who at the young age of twenty is equal to any contemporary Christian artist in the market today.

Singer/Songwriter Tim Spransy formerly of the 80's Christian rock band, Servant, has written and sung a host of songs that contain thoughtful, intelligent lyrics with hooks and melodies that leave you wanting more.

This project is a cross-cultural collaboration between Tim and Becky and the gifted Belarus-Republic based Christian band, Spasenie [twelve previous releases in Russian], who provide a solid musical base for these songs, featuring saxaphone, violin and beautifully inventive keyboards that help to capture the perfect emotion for each song. The CD is sung entirely in English, but at times has an eastern European sound and feel, which in this case works beautifully.

The song "Live Wire" sung by Tim is a very memorable, hummable song that talks about the misfits in life we have all known and how we should include them in our lives instead of shunning them. "The Garden of the King" sung by Becky is inspiring to anyone who feels alone and abandoned and needs to be encouraged...this song will shroud you in peace.
"Joshua's Dream", also sung by Becky, describes how Joshua must have felt after Moses died and he was instructed by God to lead the nation of Israel.

The 'Crossing the Jordan' project was born out of Tim Spransy's relationship with the Belarus-based music group Spasenie, whom Tim met in 1999. " We wanted to work a lot more closely together and get these wonderful people and musicians in front of American audiences. We just finished our American tour and the response was tremendous. It has been a wonderful, seamless, cross-cultural experience for all of us. Going into it we just didn't know if we would produce anything that sounded good at all and that people would want to the grace of God we were very pleasantly suprised."
