Sounds Like a Party (The A.T.F. Song)

The band had just played Tex Ritter's "Smoke, Smoke, Smoke That Cigarette," and then a song about moonshining, and finally a song of Bonnie and Clyde . Patrick said, "Alcohol, tobacco and firearms--sounds like a party to me!" And in walked inspiration!

Album Notes
In 1981 Tom and Dave began performing as the house band at a watering hole in Goffstown NH. Patrick and Bill were regular listeners and joined the band. They soon found themselves gigging across a tristate area including performance at the 1983 NH Folk Festival and with public radio appearances. Named after a traditional fiddle tune, these players were schooled by Pete Smakula of Ohio and Allan Block of NH and many celebrated summer session tutors. Their music is infused with traditional New England, Celtic and Appalacian vibe, each player a multi-instrumentalist and singer. Tom retired to Florida but the three remaining lads are busy as ever, composing new tunes and songs, breathing new life into traditional music, melding ancient and modern.
