ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I began writing music and lyrics as a young boy. Over the years, I have focused my writing more on "story" styled songs as demonstrated in the current release, "Am I Here Already?" The topics are varied with each but often touch on cultural or political issues of the day.
The first track, "The line" is a plea to political candidates in 2008 to deliver the truth to the public. Citizens, accustomed to having to sort through spins and lies, are becoming increasing complacent and disheartened by the political process. Simple truth telling from politicians (a novel idea) would hopefully earn the trust of voters and improve public perception and interest.

Other songs such as "Iron man" shines a light on the goodness of everyday Americans when faced with a tragedy such as 9/11.
For every song, there is likely a story or hidden meaning. I hope there is one here that speaks to you.

My musical journey is long. Writing has been a passion of several decades over which time I have developed a studio and forged a relationship with Jim Kissling of Tempermill Studios. Jim has been invaluable to me in the development of TAN studios and has offered his engineering and mastering expertise frequently. I thank him for his generosity, time and his "trained ear".

For the time being, I will continue writing with hopes of completing another project for release in early 2009. In the end, I hope the songs are found worthy of your listening. May there be one that speaks to directly.

Just amazing!
Beautiful lyrics, memorable instrumentals and beats! I recommend anyone who comes across this CD should buy one for themselves, and one for a friend. You will not be disappointed. In it you will discover something new about the world that we live in. Steve has a way of translating the familiar saying that we all hear through life, "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference", through his music. And thank God for music, because it certainly makes the world a better place. Especially with artists like Steve Pichan who spend endless hours, crafting such beautiful, musical, art. Thank you, Steve, for sharing your music, and personal passion with so many!
