Album Notes
Tony began his indie career as a recording artist in 2000 and was heavily downloaded by music lovers worldwide on Napster New Artists until the popular service shut down. In 2002 his bluesy cover of "Live Again" by the NuMetal band Sevendust won a permanent MP3 spot on that band's official Website. In 2003 one of his songs "Casablanca," performed by his musical friend Mitch Murray, was selected by TonosPro Indie A&R for inclusion on MTV reality shows. He marketed his CDs successfully worldwide on Ebay until the popular Web site dispensed with its New Artists listings. Tony writes the words and music, arranges, sings, and performs all the instruments in his own indie studio. He gets pockets of FM college airplay in the U.S. and Europe.A leading Web-based critic has called his music mellow blues-rock for connoisseurs. His 2007 cover of "Sweet Jane" by Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground was a No. 1 hit on a leading indie radio station in 2013, and was called "better than the original" by Louisiana Music Magazine. Tony Spinelli was the top ranked hit-maker at one of the world's leading independent music stations, with nearly 1 million voting listeners, for 10 years straight, from 2008 to 2018.
