ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Deep, lavish, spacious sonic textures ranging from soft ambient spiritual bliss to aggressive saw-blade whiplash of the soul make up this molten electronic soundscape.

Molten represents a quantum leap forward and outward for Spire. This album twists and turns and goes deeper and darker than Inertia. Released in 2008, this is Spire's second "official" release.

Molten is a many-layered tapestry woven human around voices both familiar and ancient. Every track on this album has a human voice in it somewhere. The origins of Molten are equally diverse, with tracks created for plays, films, rituals, and performance art. As such, it is meant for more than just casual listening: put this one on for introspective alone time or as the backdrop to ritual space or meditation.

Genres include: ambient, downtempo, worldbeat, cinematic and ritual.
