Album Notes
About the Band:
What happens when a chef, a computer consultant, a public school teacher, and a beer quality control technician decide to form a rock band? They create Spoke. A hard-smart rock band that’s full of crunchy rhythms, smoking lead licks and a bevy of gravy power chords. Shake in the best that saga-grunge had to offer, mix in a little word play poetry and add a touch of ‘hell yeah’. Welcome to Bubblegum Grunge-a-Billy.

Spoke initially began with a simple concept of what not to be before deciding what to become. Living in a college town filled with jam bands and covers, Spoke decided to keep it original, keep it fun and keep it rockin’. In time, the album idea became a fun experiment and evolved into the 12-song spoke-tacular that you are now able to enjoy.

The band has always been about the sound of verse and song. This album lifts the form, making it accessible to anyone with an appreciable ear.

Angie, thanks for your love and support. Thanks to Kathy for being so wonderful with your support, understanding, inspiration, patience and use of the basement. Jill, you punk girl, I love you. Chris, you're the best. Richard Dawkins, you're too incredible to express. BoingBoing.net, thank you for helping me mind my inner geek. Pastafarians, stay strong!
