Album Notes
Formed in 1996 in Auburn, AL, Spoonful James’ music has evolved into a blend of Americana, country, blues, soul, funk, jam, and rock that reflects their influences and geography. Spoonful is the well-seasoned iron skillet that takes those ingredients and fries up an aural spectacular that feels like a platter of hog jowl and cornbread washed down with a cold lager beer. The music ranges from the serene to the ass-kicking, the light to the dark, sometimes within a song. It is unspoiled – at times, downright raw – with the refinement of experience.

Are You Listening? Yes I will over and over
This album sounds even better than the samples here on the web site. Spoonful James have been playing together for years and it really shows in their music. The band is tight. From southern rock to blues, they can play it all. The album includes 8 new songs by Spoonful James. I haven't picked a favorite yet, but am liking Broke in Alabama a lot.
Well done guys!!
