Album Notes
Here's how Jonathan's CDs shape up: He gets better with age AND his first Kid's CD is great! So before you buy KID POWER, we recommend you get the three heroes CDs (AMERICAN HEROES, MORE AMERICAN HEROES & AMERICAN HEROES #3). Then we recommend you get DR. MUSIC. Then, get KID POWER! It's still an album ahead of its time (even though it's nearly 18 years old!) There are some very funny songs in here, like "Stuck With The Dishes" and "He Likes To Bark." The general theme of this CD is empowerment. Most of the songs have messages that improve a child's self-esteem. Some of the songs are just plain silly. These rock/pop/folk songs are all original.

Here's What People Are Saying about KID POWER:

"An exuberant collection of original rock songs with snappy melodies and catchy lyrics emphasizing the importance of thinking independently, making decisions, and protecting the environment."
Booklist - Chicago, IL

"The Phil Spector of the nursery crowd."
Resonance Magazine

"An appealing mixture of humor and sincerity... speaks to the natural idealism of youth... an engaging performer who maintains a sense of the absurd without straining for effect."
Denver Parent - Denver, CO
Parent's Press - Berkeley, CA

"Kid Power is excellent - already used three songs for August Dancing Dog Radio."
Willie Sterba, Producer
Dancing Dog Radio - syndicated
Mineral Point, WI

"I am ordering the CD of Kid Power because my daughter Amanda has literally worn out the cassette (not a complaint but a compliment.) You go everywhere with her in the car... You have made a lasting impression on my daughter that has not changed since the day you performed here."
Ken MacDonald, Assistant Principal
Walnut Street Elementary School
Toms River, NJ

"Jonathan Sprout makes the most inspirational children's music I've ever heard! On The Radio is one of our best selling CDs. Kid Power is ten times better!"
Ricki Block, Owner
Ariel's Child Toy Stores, New York

"State-of-the-art recording and great fun."
Sherban Cira, Director of Children's Music

"Funny and resonant at the same time, Jonathan Sprout's lyrics join his can't-help-humming-along music in songs that will make you want to be a kid again."
Jeanne Kramer, General Manager
KIDS Radio
Springfield, MO

"A great album for both young ones and parents - useful in class, too. Excellent catchy tunes and great lyrics as well as Jonathan's strong tenor voice make this a favorite...You won't find a better example of high consciousness, high energy children's music."

Kid Power is just what its label implies
I love Stuck with the Dishes. Many of these recordings have a wonderful sense of humor. All have great rhythm and beat.
