ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Square Circle started in San Diego, California in 1999 and quickly became popular in the West Coast Underground scene.

Having opened up for international artists including Depeche Mode and Missing Persons, and winning SDMA "Best Electronic Album" in 2001 and 2005, Square Circle has continually produced unique and groundbreaking music which crosses between Pop, Rock, Electronic and Hip Hop.

Their first album, "Say Hello to Square Circle", was released in 2001 and became a favorite in the Hip Hop, Fashion and Art scene. The album was well received, paving way to many opportunities including licensing for snowboard and skate videos, short films, radio and television shows.

Mankind is their second release and is more moody than "Say Hello to Square Circle". Having fine-tuned their songwriting with this album, more traditional song structure crept in. Much of the evolution came from the band's loss of a very dear friend's daughter, who passed away at 10 years old. This is memorialized in their song "Please Pray for Emily".

"Mankind" features original artwork and a fold out booklet designed for Square Circle by renowned artist Dave Kinsey of BLK/MRKT.

Insane combination of raw guitars and electronic music. Very original!
When you fist listen to it, it sounds like like something totally new. For once we get a band, who have not copied anyone and have defined their own sound. Very few bands can do this these days!

Electronic Rock with a view....
T.D. has always been a genius in my opinion. This quirky, feel good electro-voco rock effort showcases competent vocal harmony & enchanting orchestrations. Very strong indeed...

Amazing genre-bending piece of work
The album just arrived today and it's very clear that the terms "sophomore slump" are completely foreign to these guys, they bring all types of musical styles to the disc, ranging from Classical to Folk Rock to Ragtime (what 'chall know about My Mickey?)

Excellent job guys, and to anyone who likes this, I implore you to go out and grab their first disc, "Say Hello To...", it's what legends are made of.

Phenomenal Music
Your band has just the right ingredients to make perfect music. There is so much more... sounds from robotics to foreign influences. You can sense the passion! By the way, your proactive management of customers orders...is unlike any other I have experienced. Your note in my CD package was much needed humor that day.
