ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Recorded live in the flats of Amritapuri, For the Record is original music that springs forth from the natural, spiritual environment that it was created in. It is a lo-fi album with nothing to distract from the messages of unity in diversity, and living with a basic humanity and respect for each other that we seem to have lost to the endless tribalism to which we cling. For the Record is sprouted in the philosophy of compassion taught by the mystic and humanitarian Mata Amritanandamayi whose ashrams the creator, and songwriter, Sreejit Poole, has lived in since 1994. Most songs are just a simple guitar, a vocal and a message that are not there just to vibe to but also to make you think.
