Ridin', Drivin', Wakan...

by Steve Steward and the Farmhouse Garage Band

It ROCKS, back and forth, up and down, gentle then rough, hard then easy. It's about MOVING - in space, hotrods and trucks and trains, and in this human form - and spirit.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
STEVE STEWARD has played with many of the architects of vintage rock before going forward to do his own thing. This, with the Farmhouse Garage Band, was the first album, and the predecessor to the musicians' consortium STEWARDS ECLECTRIC.
Brief description of the SONGS:
1. REWORKING THE CLONE - guitar-riff instrumental from deep space... 2. For motor heads: DO YA WANNA DRIVE?... 3. TAKING YOU ALONG - we’re all riding together... 4. & 5. Two train tunes with bells and whistles: A RIDE ON THE COAST STARLIGHT blows a jazzy horn. GOIN' GOOD rocks on the welded rail... 6. DRIVIN' JOHNNY B. and jam PROUD HIGHWAY make an eleven-minute extravaganza, remembering Chuck, Bo, Ronnie and others... 7. TIME IS NOW - a left-handed protest song... 8. WAKAN, (pronounced wah-kahn), borrows the Lakota word meaning big, sacred, powerful.
