Face the Day

by Stacy Lee

Stacy Lee's debut album is mesmerizing and introspective. There is a rawness in her lyrics and melodies that are compelling and have soul with a familiarity that even though you're hearing it for the first time, you feel as though it's an old fav.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is my debut album and I am so excited to share it! I hope you enjoy the message in each song. I feel that the song on this album are universal to all walks of life! There are songs of heartache, love, struggle, frustration, joy, helplessness, anger, happiness, regret, realization, and peace. Basic human emotion that we all feel every day! Each song brings out a different touch of style to convey it's emotion.

Bio:
I have been singing since I was a wee lass, but didn't realize my true calling as a singer/songwriter until I received an old hand-me-down guitar from a friend when I was 17. I had been writing poetry for a few year, but when I got that guitar and started teaching myself how to play something clicked. The melodies started to flow out and the lyrics came effortlessly. Writing new songs is the best when is completely engulfs your whole being! Every song I write I strive for honesty in the lyrics, emotion in the melody, and soul in the delivery!

What inspires me:
LIFE! Simple as that. Every day we are faced with challenges and decisions that affect the course of our day, and ultimately the course of our lives! We experience joy, sadness, frustration, happiness, anger, humor, calmness, chaos, highs, lows, loss, growth, extremes...the list goes on and on. It's those "Life" emotions that inspire me.
PEOPLE! The people that surround you make you who you are! How can I be an artist if those around me don't inspire me? Everyone has their own unique story, their own truth. It's those amazing stories and truths that inspire every song I write! I am so lucky to have such an amazing group of people who I can call friends and family that surround me and share their life stories and truths with me.

I hope you enjoy what you hear!

There is one word that can sum up Stacy Lee and her debut album Face the Day... amazing. From the opening chords of the title track to the last strum of the guitar in the closing track, You Watched Me, the listener is taken on a ride through the life and times of Stacy Lee. Raw power and emotion ooze from her lips as she sings about love, fear, curiosity, relaxation, and competition. There is something for everyone on Face the Day.

Complimenting Stacy's beautiful voice is a band that brings each song to life. Producer Owen Sartori and Stacy put together a fantastic group of musicians to really tell the story of the songs through sound waves, extolling the well written lyrics perfectly. I have had the pleasure of hearing many of these songs acoustically, and to hear them with a full band is nothing short of awesome.

Highlights include the title track, Woman Scorned with its catchy hook that you can't help but chant along with, Summertime, and my personal favorite You Watched Me. Face the Day is in my car at all times, and I never skip a single song. They are all enjoyable.

Stacy put a lot of work into making her dream come true, and it shows on Face the Day. Great music, great lyrics, great voice!
