Album Notes
Starfly 69 formed in 2002 to write "Strong", a track chosen as the official song of the Scottish Commonwealth Games Team for the Manchester Games of the same year.
Having enjoyed television, radio and newspaper exposure during the tournament, the trio of Steve McDonald(production/keyboards/vocals), David Salvona (guitar) and Gill Wright (vocals) continued to work together and after two years of writing and recording songs at Moonbase Alpha, Steve`s Edinburgh studio, "Caked in Candy", the band`s first studio album was completed in December 2004 and released in January 2005.
The songs have been written in a variety of styles including dance, house, downtempo, acoustic. There are also some traditional Scottish/Celtic influences on some songs.

Great Band!
Thanks to the internet, great bands that you would never hear of, are now easily found. Starfly 69 is one of those bands. Great songwriting and performance are the norm for this group. I have this CD loaded in my iPod and listen to it frequently.

Steve McDonald, who I first heard in Einstein`s Wardrobe, has a great sense for production and does a great job with the vocals. I look forward to hearing their next CD.
