ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The hardest thing for a songwriter/singer to do is know how to describe their music. It seems like all music has to be labeled or categorized and put in a tidy little pigeonhole. I ask 10 people whom I sound like and I get 10 different answers—the general consensus is “like you”. I’ve been writing music for many years and when I write a song, I don’t think about fitting in or making a hit—I just create what comes to me. My lyrics stem from real issues, real feelings and real concerns. Whether about love (You Were Meant For Me), abuse (If Only), greed (Mother Earth), self-worth (Don’t Need To Apologize) or even war and destruction (Raining Fire)—the songs come straight from the heart. When someone comes up to me and says they hear me—it makes it all worthwhile. Starla
