ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"From the contagious opening guitar hook of 'Fits Right In' to the final flurry of feedback in the tongue-in-cheek anthem 'Last Generation of Rock & Roll,' the Sons of Distortion pump out a potent blast of high-octane mutant blues and garage rock rebellion." –Radio Nomad

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in a small Wisconsin blue-collar town, Mike Starling ditched the assembly line for a long, sometimes circuitous multimedia career working with words, music, still photography and moving pictures. On this project he leads a band called the Sons of Distortion, handling lead vocals, acoustic guitar and songwriting duties. The album showcases the talents of Casey Virock (electric guitar), Mike von Muchow (bass guitar) and Kevin Skrenes (drums, piano). You can check out Mike’s latest journeys in sight and sound at mikestarling.com.

PRODUCER'S NOTES
This album was released in the early days of CD Baby, whose founder Derek Sivers offered independent musicians a real opportunity to make fans and sell their music across international borders. It was a great run while it lasted, thanks to everyone around the world who bought the Sons of Distortion CD!

With new distribution methods – first downloads... now streaming... tomorrow, who knows? – the compact audio disc format is destined to go the way of 78s and 8-track tapes. When the limited edition run of this high-def audiophile-quality CD runs out, they're gone forever, so grab one while you still can.

Meantime, stop by mikestarling.com, where you can stream full-length versions of our latest recordings (and some classic tracks). Formats may change, but the beat goes on...
