Album Notes
Status "I Don't Wanna Argue"

"I don't wanna argue" brand new single of New York native rapper Status. Produced by 3Time Records & co-produced by Status at Bigdropz studio New York City. The beat, produced by French guys Saad & Kal, features smooth pads keyboards and deep bass.

HipHopRookies : Superstar Status, where your nickname comes from?

Status: My name came from going through self withdrawal and extreme purging of myself trying to figure out myself as an artist in this industry and I was always told I was gonna be a star so I came up with the name superstar status.

HHR: Where do you originally from & where do you live at the moment?

Status: I'm originally from Far Rockaway New York a.k.a Far Rock America but I reside in Hinesville Georgia.

HHR: When did you start recording music?

Status: I started persuing music at the age of 9 seeing all of my uncles dj and produce music so I started the Kanye way and started making beats and I've always been a poet so the words and the metaphors came easy, so after that I fell in love with both making beats and spitting.

HHR: "I don't wanna argue" is your first released single ? Tell us more about the song.

Status: A really it's not the first single I've recorded but it's the first single really released into the music world today. The lyrics basically puts you in a place of thought as you are in a relationship that you care about, but you go about it in the worst of ways which result into constant arguing and soon after you realize that's not the type of relationship you want.

HHR: What is your music inspiration?

Status: My musical inspiration comes from various artist such as Kanye West, Jay-z, Nas, Drake, Big Sean, Biggie Smalls and an unknown artist Tony Collin.

HHR: What do you think about hip hop today & the new generation?

Status: I think hip hop today has kinda reached its peak of creative non sense but hey sometimes you gotta go with the change or remain the same and not follow.

HHR: Your top 5 artists?

Status: Jay-z, Drake, Lil Wayne, Big Sean and Kanye West.

HHR: The music is produced & composed by Saad & Kal 2 French Guys from 3time records. Where did you meet?

Status: Oh yeah! Shout out to Saad & Kal they were the motivation behind the whole product. I was in my house one day and a very great engineer I worked with since I started to record by the name of big drops gave me a ring and was telling me that there's a opportunity that he think that I maybe interested in and he asked me to swing by the studio and when I got there I meet this man by the name of Micael Sene which is a great guy by the way and he let me listen to a catalog of beats and there was one beat that stood out to me and the mellow sound of the instruments took me away and from there we know we had a hit and it was called I don't wanna argue.

HHR: Are you planing to make an album (with them and other producers)?

Status: Well right now I'm working on my independent label called cash on arrival shout out to Tafari Collins Natasha Chambers and the rest of the great staff that we have making our dreams and aspirations possible. I don't mind creating a full cd project, Saad & Kal have been great people to work with and I'm pretty sure in the near future we can accomplish a great body of work that the world can be satisfied with.
