ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"STAV. definitely stands out from the crowd" - Multicultural Arts Victoria
"One of the most original singer-songwriters I have heard recently... I'll be doing what we should all do when we hear or see great art... I'll be shouting her praise from the rooftops" - The Night Sky Is A Jewellery Store Window

Soulful and honest, STAV. (@soundofstav) writes thoughtful, uplifting songs in English, Hebrew and French. Soaring melodies and bursts of rhythmic fire, she is the Folk Alliance Australia 'Young Artist of the Year' 2018.

Her debut album 'The Horizon Line' (2016) is a bold and heartfelt coming-of-age concept album, a continuation of her story of migration, one that began long before her conception. To celebrate the release, the project toured from Melbourne to the Bello Winter Music Festival. She then launched into the international scene as a solo artist with special guests in Barcelona and France.

She has Iraqi-Polish roots, was born in Israel and raised in a small town in NSW, Australia. An expressive voice and a natural affinity for guitar, live performance brings this songwriter's introspection, playfulness and raw passion to life.

With the Folk Alliance International conference in Montreal, Canada in February 2019, there are many exciting plans on the horizon. For now, she is due to release a new single this May 2018 as part of the 5-series music documentary 'The Chromatic Memory' by Timber Music Box.
