Album Notes
Sue Borowski is a rising independent recording artist from the Pittsburgh, PA area who is becoming visible throughout the area and via social networking circles. Her music touches the realms of Celtic, Folk and Country in a fresh new style that continues to please listeners all over. Her 2nd album, Steel Clover “In the Christmas Spirit” is a compilation of traditional and original compositions performed with a Celtic touch. She is joined in choral pieces by her brothers-in-law Mike and Dave Borowski and her sister-in-law Mickey Borowski, adding beautiful harmonies to songs such as The Wexford Carol, Angels We Have Heard on High, and What Child is This. She is also joined by Rich Lange on The Fairytale of New York and Miss Fogarty's Christmas Cake, the amusing story of a fruitcake with a life of its own. Irish whistle player extraordinaire Bob Pegritz adds his talent to Sue's lovely original As Christmas Day Draws Near and touching traditional The Miner's Dream of Home. She concludes with the Robert Burns classic Auld Lang Syne performed in the beautiful but lesser known traditional melody.
