Album Notes
Stefan's award winning acoustic and slide guitar playing and honey on gravel vocals are up front throughout this album. The arrangements are complimented harmoniously by legendary Tucson musicians: the brass band "Crawdaddy 'O", Kevin Schramm on accordion, Bobby Kimmel on bass and vocals, Lavinia White on vocals, Craig Schumacher on harmonica, Tom Rhodes and William W. Don Carlos on fiddle, Brendan Dance on flute and saxophones, and William W. Don Carlos master piper on bagpipes.
Although the songs deal with the loss of loved ones and the struggle to find joy and hope in its aftermath, the rage and sorrow, laughter and tears are present in all their glory. Stefan's polished guitar work and warm expressive vocals shine through each finely crafted tune and lyric. He's learned his trade in over twenty years of performing, recording, and songwriting original blues, folk, country, rock, traditonal folk, and contemporary Americana music and earned his accolades through touring and concerts from Hamburg, Germany to Honolulu, Hawaii. He's taught guitar and songwriting workshops in Telluride, CO, Kerrville, TX, Tucson, AZ, Hawaii, and Germany and is a member of the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame, the Tucson Musicians Hall of Fame, the Tucson Musicians Museum, and has shared the stage with just about every acoustic blues artist you could mention, from Honey Boy Edwards to John Hammond, as well as guitar greats Norman Blake, John Martyn, and jazz piano legend Mose Allison. He currently lives and performs regularly in his home town of Tucson AZ, when not on the road.

Thanks for the disc, Stef. It's another masterwork; the playing,
singing, arrangements, recording are all stellar, and the songs are so
open and evocative. I've gotta start covering some of your material.
You're my' hero, man. Quote me if you wanna.
