Album Notes
Album notes
This album, What You've Heard (released in 2015) is an 8 song CD, and the first serious recording I have done. Six songs are originals and two are cover songs I love. One cover, Stevie Nicks' Landslide, was the first song I ever really learned on guitar. I still play it all of the time. The songs on this album are from various points in my life and speak about experiences and thought processes. Let It Go is a very rolling, feel good song, as the title implies, contrasting with If I Knew Then, which is a sad song about a mother's regret and the alienation of her son. Music has been a central component of my life since childhood. My grandfather was a touring jazz musician, and my father is a guitarist. My mother and her mother played keyboards and sang. Though I began writing songs as a teenager, family life soon took priority over playing music. It was around 2005 that I brought singing and guitar playing more fully into my life again. Almost a decade later, I began working on What You've Heard. It was released in late 2015. I hope you'll enjoy the experience..
