Album Notes
This song was inspired by the music from the Tibetan and Nepali tradition, so it makes perfect sense that Stefanosis would name it after a Tibetan Buddhist poet and mystic named Milarepa. Indeed, this song is intended for meditation, and that's the main reason for its extended length of 10 minutes and 20 seconds. It's unusual for a typical song by Stefanosis at around 5-6 minutes in length. 'Milarepa Hears the Spheres' is meant to be a sonic journey, one high above the Himalayan mountains. It's done at a very slow tempo with soothing instruments such as keyboards, Moroccan lotar, bass guitar and Indian reed flute. So far, this is the most meditative song produced by Stefanosis, and perhaps one of the most memorable. Thank you, Milarepa.
