Album Notes
This EP is the very first CD by the Swedish band Stellan Wahlstrom Drift Band, following their debut 7'' single "Gör det fort".
It shows an already tight group with plenty of live experience under its belt. It's powerful folk-rock similar to 80's/90's Australian bands (Hoodoo Gurus, Paul Kelly), lots of ringing electric guitars, and there's a track leaning towards country-rock (this was before the alt-country movement was in full swing).
The EP closes with the slow, vibrating heat-stricken "Dean St, Brooklyn, N Y". The lyrics are in Swedish. Just after the release of this CD, Stellan Wahlstrom moved to New York and his lyrics changed to English and new band members were added. The EP got some good airplay on Swedish radio at the time.

Here's a clip of the title track live at Mosebacke, Stockholm, 1992:

Stellan Wahlstrom - vocals, guitars, harmonica.
Johan Werner - lead guitars, Hammond organ.
Bo Schager - bass, back-up vocals.
Lars Lundholm - drums.
Kerstin Norborg - violin.

Recorded and mixed by Anders Alenius, Function Studio, Stockholm.
Mastered by Peter In De Betou, Cutting Room, Stockholm.
Cover painting by Lasse Wahlström.

Belpid Records 1994.
