Album Notes
Stephanie follows up her 2011 ambient/trip-hop album, Rubber Teardrop, with a Live, Acoustic CD "Live at the Old Church".

Recorded live at The Old Church in downtown Portland in October 2011, the new release features tracks from Schneiderman's past two CD’s, Rubber Teardrop and Dangerous Fruit, as well as a cut from her sophomore full-length, 2001's Unbelievably Broken, a track from her band, Dirty Martini's Tea and Revenge, and the John Prine cover "Paradise," featured as an audience sing-a-long. The album features guest appearances from the string quartet 45th Parallel Quartet and The Roxy Consort choir, as well as Tony Furtado on baritone Ukelele, Keith Schreiner on organ and Hanz Araki on low whistle.

"Live at The Old Church is more about the songs and my voice. It's also the first album I produced on my own, so I'm very proud of it,” says Schneiderman. “I decided to include strings and a choir on this CD and return to my roots in chamber music, which I studied in college. These newer songs were written to live in the world of trip-hop, so it's been fun to recreate them and record them in their naked original form."
