Album Notes
Tigerlilly is a metaphore for the creative self, that fleeting moment of inspiration one feels when they jump into a body of artistic work. The song speaks of the commonality of losing one's sense of creative self, in a hardened world that does not value such traits. This song includes the the singer Stephanie Sparrow asking what must be the universe to help her hold on to her tigerlilly, and begging for it never to dissolve.
This song is representative of a dreamscape, a country sounding guitar twangs in the background as layers of vocal harmonies float us through the meoldy. It was written over 8 years ago by Sparrow when she awoke from a dream, and is not finally being released to the public.
