Album Notes

(more of the same exciting info is forthcoming!!!).............................................................

I am Stephen Hess and this is my 1st try at making a cd "aaaabsolutely home-made low-fi"
As you can see the title is a description, a warning and a declaration...(a good thing)

I have been torturing the guitar and those who listen to said torturings for a few years now off and on.
I’m not a very disciplined player, and most times that’s fine with me, (even tripping over the thing with beer in hand can impart the sound and mood one wants to achieve sometimes;)

I have never been in a band, other than high school band (trumpet).
I started playing music on the piano, and then drums; but those movies are so old an moldy they were taken off my mental shelves years ago; I’m sure that they have absorbed into my overall musical “inner” software though.

By the way some of the "ahem"; “songs”, need more of a listen than just the two minute sample offering to fairly make a case for themselves, (Of course you may disagree). A few are a little long...winded. A couple are more “sound ejaculations” than typical song type creatures. The levels and mixing on some (or depending on who you are “all”) are "ahem" off a bit.
I tried to stay true to the mood they were trying to conjure. I don’t mean to sound like I’m making apologies for them, there are some good ideas there; but of course you be the judge. It is homemade low-fi after all. I’m just a little maggot on a big turd tryin’ ta’ git heard.

The name of the cd should help warn folks that this cd is NOT studio quality. In some ways I’m totally proud of that; but of course it could always be better...or not.My mixing and editing skills...well...aren't.Better equipment would help. Also access to a good studio, and techs' would as well. But alas'my money tree gave out years ago. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
yack,yackety,Yackety,yack.yack......Blah! "cough"...Yeah!

Hey thanks for stomping by.......G-L-L......Stephen Hess
Any comments welcomed!

Pretty good Steve, you always had a good ear. Hear some floyd influences, but nice original feel. You're too apologetic for yourself. Good sounds!
