Album Notes
This CD is dedicated to the memory of David M. Bailey, courageous troubadour of hope and faith who battled a malignant brain tumor for 14 years and finally came to rest on October 2, 2010. In life, david signed his name in lower case. We are now capitalizing David’s name in honor of a life well lived. From the time he was diagnosed in 1996, he ceaselessly wrote, sang, and spoke his faith in 23 albums, in 45 states and 5 countries, including the US, Canada, UK, Denmark & Sweden. He always did it with a sense of humor. The CD is also in honor of David’s family, Leslie, Kelcey, and Cameron who supported David in his journey.
David and Steve met at a Presbytery Pastoral Care Network (PPCN) conference and produced their first joint CD, A Deep Well for the Pastor, as a resource in PPCN’s work of caring for clergy. More information is available at
David and Steve had talked about an album of humor as a second project. Bryan McFarland, independent folk-musician and hunger action advocate for Salem Presbytery, has joined Steve to complete this project using both his and David’s songs to enlarge the experience. Bryan released a new album, Until All Are Fed, with a portion of proceeds going to the Presbyterian Hunger Program. Details at .

bailey fan

not for the bailey fan
Other than being dedicated to the memory of david m. bailey (I'll never capitalize his name) , I cannot find anything enjoyable about this cd. The comedy aspect is weak. If you are clergy perhaps you'll enjoy this. If you are a bailey fan, avoid this one; instead buy one from david's collection of cds as you'll enjoy them more than this one.

Humourous Support CD for Clergy
My husband, a pastor, received this CD as a gift while experiencing very challenging times in his role. The reflections in the humor were both funny and honest about the unique situations faced by clergy. The music and words went well together. Our entire family has enjoyed the CD, which has been played repeatedly in our home and our car. It helps to know that our situation is not unique. This would be a great gift for other clergy members would benefit from the full CD. My teens laugh at many of the songs and comedy sketches because of their position as preacher's kids, but their favorite song on the CD has universal appeal: "(Wile E. Coyote is Having a) Yard Sale".
