Album Notes
As quoted by the Cape Cod Times 07/29/11 “Songwriter and Cape in Perfect Harmony.” It was the summer of 2009, as I was packing to go on vacation after some really tough weeks at work, when I kept saying to myself: "We're Going to the Cape, We're Packing for the Cape.....". As my wife and I drove up to Cape Cod, the melody started coming to me. I finished the lyrics and music that week on a beach in West Dennis. The song is truly inspired by the natural beauty and traditions of those who visit the Cape. Everyone that hears the song tells me it makes them feel relaxed and they want to either visit the Cape for the first time, or return to the Cape. It is a song that takes your mind outdoors to the Cape in the summertime.
My good friend Rick Dalby who was partly responsible for me visiting the Cape for the first time ever in 2008, not only lent his musical and artistic talent to the song, he also engineered the recording and mixing process. I hope you enjoy playing this beautiful song and feeling relaxed and refreshed. I hope to see you at the Cape!
