Album Notes
This second release from Clayton features USA Blues legends S.P Leary on drums and Lester "Mad Dog" Davenport on Harmonica and it was probably the last recordings they ever made before leaving us for "Blues Heaven".
The CD was recorded in March/April 1995 at the famous Delmark Studios, Chicago and engineered by Paul Serrano & Steve Wagner.
Apart from the afore mentioned legends, there are a whole bunch of "new" legends from the Chicago scene to be heard:
The reverend Bruce Thompson on organ, Precious Jewel & Tammy McCann on backing vocals.
The Firestone Horns,(Shakir Sulaiman (Alto Sax), Ray Schmitz (tenor Sax) & Scott Fischer (Trombone).
Hank Ford on Tenor Saxophone, Charles Wooten on guitar, the dynamic Lou Palmer on drums and Christopher Lopes on bass.
This CD certainly made Clayton a name for himself and it is a privilege to be able to download this album after so many years being out of print!
