Album Notes

Winner of a Parents' Choice "Approved" Award (Summer, 2003)

SCHOOL LIBRARY JOURNAL (June, 2003) says, "This is an upbeat, kid-friendly album for the whole family, and Steve Blunt is an artist to watch."

"This is a great cd. Good, songwriting, which is key, and great energy." Bill Harley, children's musician/storyteller

HANG ON, HENRY is getting fantastic reviews from kids and parents alike. It covers a range of musical styles, from the rockabilly title track (about a little brother who flies away on a kite) to the calypso-influenced "Macaroni & Cheese" (about a girl who refuses to eat anything else). The cd celebrates positive values (childhood, family, diversity, conflict resolution) and offers sing-along, move-around, laugh-a-lot fun for the whole family.

Inspiring, happy music!
We love this CD!! This is the only thing that my children want to listen to in the car.... the lyrics are very catchy and I find myself singing the songs all of the time! I recommend this CD for children of all ages!

Susan Rogers

This CD is absolutely wonderful. It is nice to know that there is still some quality music being made for the younger set. The music is catchy, lyrics great and listeners young and old will find themselves singing along!

Hang On Henry
We heard Steve perform live on the Amherst Green and couldn\'t get the tune out of our head for weeks. So we went ahead and ordered the album and it has fast become our favorite. Great kids music that appeals to adults as well.

Great CD for kids from 2-10
Both of Steve Blunts CD's are perfect for kids ages 2 to 10. I have a 2 year old who will listen, sing and dance to the entire CD! There are not many things that can keep her attention.

Hang On Henry
Steve is a wonderful performer who really cares about children. His CD's are tons of fun, great tunes and lyrics! Interesting arrangements on real instruments, too, something rare in the Children's CD arena!

Hang On, Henry Makes Us All Want To Sing Steve Blunt Songs!
I love the range of song ideas, the messages couched in gentle and subtle lyrical frameworks, the fabulous musicianship, and the clever humor in the songs included in this album! So many of the songs make you want to sing along, and before you realize it, you are!
I have one copy of this album, but that's going to have to change soon. Others in my family want the cd, but I won't ever be willing to give it up! I'll have to buy some more albums, and you should too!
Hang On, Henry hangs out in my car's cd player so that whenever I drive out to pick up my two oldest grandchildren, Josh, and Caelan, to bring them to our north central WI home for a visit, Hang On, Henry is there waiting for them. They love this album, just as I do. Caelan, 8, bursts out into song as soon as the music starts, and Josh is all smiles!
I could really go on and on about the songs Steve put together here, but let's just say, as a children's musician myself, I have no choice but to learn and share songs like the first track-Bienvenidos, Bienvenue with its great message;
You've Been Watching Too Much TV, (as a reading specialist-reading teacher, I certainly endorse the idea that kids should watch less tv, and do other things, such as learn to play music, sing, and read, read, read! A special message but presented with the clever, truly funny lyrical humor I've seen in no other children's musician than Steve Blunt!

Lots of fun!
My kids love this cd. After having it only a week, they've got most of it memorised (including my 3 yr old)! Steve really knows how to get in touch with what kids are thinking, yet the tunes are fun enough for the adults to enjoy listening to as well.
