Album Notes
Heather, American, Steve, French, have been sharing for several years their common passion for music. Concerts are non-stop and they have a solid stage experience.
It is the real authenticity of their Rock and Rhythm & Blues repertoire that naturally guided them to Country Music, their down deep artistic “raison d\'être”.

Heather (singer and author) finds her Northern American roots and sensitivity and it is Steve, artist with the various talents (1st price of the Academy of Music of Lyon and pianist, singer, author, writer and producer), who brings his style influenced by artists such as Ray Charles, Johnny Cash or Mark Knopfler…

They have a crush for the song \"Bonnie and Clyde\" written by Serge Gainsbourg. The duet decides to make it the headlight of an album they recorded in Nashville with some of the biggest Country Music musicians.

Steve & Heather

They meet on May 10th 1986 and it is love at first sight! Steve was normally to leave for the United States to redo his life there; instead he fell under an American’s charm in France! Heather immediately understands that he is the man of her life, and hardly three days after they settle together forever!

This American, with the specific dynamism and dispositions due to her origins, will literally awake the musical resources of her \"Frenchy\"! In only four months, he composes and writes a first album Rock /Pop Rock finds a job in a music shop and puts together his first band \"Turquoise\" that Heather manages. They do their first studio recording and take part in several Live Music Contests where they are successful. They will learn a couple of lessons and also some of the tricks of this field! Something indefinable doesn’t please Steve. He changes team and assembles his second band \"Sunway\" again managed by his essential mate. Once more he feels that something is wrong, and it is with this new formation that he realizes what has been missing since the beginning: he is the leader of the band but not the lead voice!

Heather gives birth to their first child: Melanie. Meanwhile Steve leaves his day job in the music store because of the numerous gigs he has in various Parisian pubs. He joins different bands as a keyboard player, backup vocals and finally singer. He develops a Rock and Rhythm & Blues repertoire that is appropriate to his kind of voice and gets his first applauses as a singer with the \"Flying Pockets\".

The couple has a second girl: Kimberley. Heather finds a job in an office and at the same time is Steve’s coach and pillar. During this period Steve multiplies his contacts and becomes the keyboard player in Jean-Claude Borelly’s band, he will soon be the head man. In parallel he creates its third band \"SDO\" (Steve Danson Orchestra) with whom he does his second album and a presentation video. The result sounds professional but the team is too heavy to manage (12 musicians) and encounters development problems.

Their night and day shifts hardly allow them to see each other so Heather decides to give up her day job in order for them to work together full-time. They leave for a tour in Turkey, Heather gets up on stage sings and something incredible happens: she captures the public in just one song! For Steve it’s a revelation that becomes obvious: they are a duet on and off stage!
The duet does all kinds of covers and little by little specializes in Country Music for the great pleasure of their growing public!

Arrival of their third daughter: Shirley. In parallel to the duet that now has a solid reputation; Steve has other musical experiences and adds-up his acquaintances with the \"Eight Killers\", European cover of the \"Brothers Blues\". Heather seeks and finds further knowledge about legal and executive producing in the musical field at \"IES-im\" (Institute of Higher Studies in Musical Industry). Her master’s Memoir is entitled \"Country Music in France\"; it becomes an element of reference in the professional environment and at the same time a wonderful market study!

Pursuant to this knowledge, Steve and Heather decide to produce their first album of Country Music and record it in Nashville, TN.
