ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Already Dreaming is inspired by an encounter that happened while I was working one cold and early winter morning.

It was a dark and cold Feb. start to work. In at six o'clock and off to ICU to collect early morning bloods.

Routine. As I moved into the dimly lit room and sized up my new patient she could have been Sleeping Beauty except for the blond hair and all the tubes coming out of her body. As I looked at her arm band to double check ID I heard a muffled sob from the shadows in the corner of the cubicle.

A rugged young man in a baseball cap was there quietly crying . After I did my job I stopped and spoke with him for a minute. Through halting phrases of she seemed so much better, she was laughing again, out with her friends again , I had no idea. I learned that this young women's mother had committed suicide when she was fourteen and left her this strange"gift"; a fascination with death and dying . One they were having a terrible time coping with. Our young man had come home from work to find his lady love on the kitchen floor in a scattered pool of pills. Not too late this time.

A Portion of the profits of this CD after production costs will be donated to Nova Scotia Mental Health.
