ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
As a child of the 50’s, I was very fortunate to be born into a musically oriented family with a strong love of music in their hearts. My mother and older sisters were quite skillful at the piano, filling our New York home with the beautiful sound of music. My parents tried their hand at welcoming me into their circle of music-hood but to no avail. Piano, guitar and accordion lessons were never met with a willing embrace and were rebuffed by me. At that time of life, my love lay with neighborhood friends engaged in sports of all kind, mostly played on the many streets and sandlots of Brooklyn.

As the years pass by with what seems like greater and greater rapidity, and as I ponder life’s opportunities lost, delving into the musical universe has been a major focus of mine. I now know that learning a musical instrument, in my case guitar, is a very difficult task. Let’s face it: developing the body’s moving center to allow for a perfection of synchronization of the left hand, with the incredible subtlety of touch and rhythm of the right hand is a long and winding road.

The album “Transformation,” with its seven original songs, is my effort to address the musical opportunity lost during my formative years......Peace!
