ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This summer Collision Music will be releasing the eagerly anticipated album Jacksons Corner from Steve Morano. It’s his first album for the label, with the single Donna, being released in the summer 2012, which was a first taster of what the album holds in store. A soulful boy meets girl song with the sort of catchy sing along chorus that has a way of embedding itself in your day, once you’ve heard it you won’t stop singing, humming or whistling it, Donna was an instant and easy choice for a first single. The video to accompany the release, up on our Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/collisionmusicUK features the people and places of Steve’s hometown of Reading and was shot on a day of sunshine and rain which rather aptly complimented the story within the song.

The end of 2012 saw the release of the title track from the album ‘Jacksons Corner’ which coincided with the announcement that the Reading store which inspired it was set to close it’s doors in 2013. The single has been very well received and gained exposure on BBC Radio and TV stations.

And now we present to you the full 'Jacksons Corner' album featuring 11 tracks of americana and folk influenced songs.

A little about Steve - Having discovered a passion for music at the tender age of nine, Steve Morano's sound has developed over the intervening years to fall in to the Folk, Americana and Singer Songwriter bracket. He has really honed that style and song writing over the last few years, both singing in bands and performing as a solo artist in the UK, Europe and the US. A regular at Guilfest over the last 5 years and standout performances around London and the South of England are now being translated into a new album titled 'Jackson's Corner', featuring a full ensemble of talented Berkshire based musicians, that will be released in the Autumn of 2012.
