Those who really know me, know how important David was to my musical development. My voice though not as beautiful or charismatic as David's does bare some resemblance to his as does my composition style. He was my second deep dive artist, the first being the Beatles (I spent the majority of my childhood immersed in them). By the time I was 18 I became a Bowie super-fan. I especially became enamored with the Lodger album and quite literally played it non-stop for over a year, singing it in its entirety at least twice a day in the car between 1993 and 1994. Although I do sing stylistically like him, I did not ever release a cover of one of his songs until this one, partially because the instrumentation for my most favorite Bowie songs and how I would have liked to record them was not technologically available until fairly recently (orchestra!), and the rest required sax which I did not begin to study until 4 years ago. I do have one more Bowie cover up my sleeve now that I can play sax! Hope you'll stop by to hear it when it is released!

David was my brother, teacher, and mentor and I will always love him that way. I know there is a Star man waiting in the sky. I hope to meet you on the other side someday,

Thanks for listening to my song for David. His music, this song, this love, will always mean more than I can say. I hope you enjoyed listening to it and that you could feel my love shine through.
