Album Notes
Steve Rotter is an enthusiastic, potent guitar player from Chicago, Illinois (U.S.A.) who expresses his style as instrumental hard rock, as can be heard on his latest release, "Wraith". His guitars of choice include a Jackson Dinky Reverse Pro Series and a Peavey Vandenberg for the album. Steve currently plays Ibanez and Fender 5150 amps. Rotter has played guitar since 1987, and frankly confirms his career goal, "To continue recording and performing."
Steve is currently listening to Queensryche, Randy Rhoads/Ozzy, Yngwie Malmsteen and Racer X (Paul Gilbert). His utmost satisfaction? "When someone says they enjoyed my music then I've done my job. I set out to give to someone what people gave to me when I started playing; when it felt like Christmas morning as a kid," he answers decidedly.

Rotter mentions his new studio album, set for release in 2013, in his own words, "Putting a band together (MIME RIOT) and recording in my studio is very exciting. I do it all, guitar, recording engineer, photographer and videographer/cinematographer." There are so many colorful angles to Steve's talents. Vocals on the up and coming MIME RIOT CD will be performed by Brian Duffy, Los Angeles - based producer and Vocalist. Working with Brian is outstanding! He is a true professional, both in the art of music and mastering vocals.

Fans have compared the playing style and/or musical approach of Steve Rotter to guitarists such as Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, Randy Rhoads and John Sykes. Steve just thinks he sounds like Steve.
