ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Dreaming of You ... is the exploration of a widows grief.

Its about identifying and empathising with the people around us who have lost the love of their life. In this case, the song examines the story of an elderly women whose world has come to a complete stand still since the loss of her husband.

Stewart lived next door to an elderly widow when he was in high school. He became acutely aware of her grief and her feelings of isolation.

Stewart would keep her company by going to her place to study. It was in her house late at night where he would observe her walking seemingly bewildered down her corridor, staring at the family portraits on the wall; lamenting, at times almost in a daze, as if she had been woken by her late husbands voice in a dream.

Everything in the house appeared as though all was left in its original place since the day her husband died. The garden shed took on the form of a shrine. Stewart would observe her almost pleading to see him one more time.

'Dreaming of you' was written around the time one of Stewart's closest friends suffered a massive heart attack in 2010. Its his own personal reminder to love fully, passionately and deeply those around you and to always remain sensitive to the loss experienced by others.
