ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Stewart Lewis began his music career in the living room of his parents home, when at the mere age of 5, he was thrown a tambourine. His parents founded one of Boston’s most beloved acts, the bluegrass band the Center Streeters and he would sit in on their rehearsals. By 7 years old, Stewart was playing drums and singing harmonies with the family band, later taking up the guitar and piano.

As a founding member of the trio Acoustic Junction, along with his brother Reed Foehl and childhood friend Jeff Haycock, the group went on to develop a major indie following, with a huge fan base in Colorado and New England. In addition, they also became recognized as one of the top college acts in the country, and their first album, Love it for What It Is, sold over 20,000 copies. During his five years with Acoustic Junction, the band opened for Blues Traveler, the Dave Matthews Band, Fastball, and The Band.

After deciding to pursue a solo career, Stewart moved to Colorado and began working on his first CD, Faces In The Crowd. With influences as diverse as Van Morrison, Stephen Stills, and Coldplay, Stewart\'s sound is part stripped down acoustic, part experimental electric with underlying folk influences, and pure soul. Stewart\'s three self-financed releases have sold over 10,000 copies. He has performed live over the past several years at numerous venues both within the U.S. and abroad, including sold out shows in London. His powerful stage presence and delivery, coupled with his poignant lyrics and melodies have earned him the opportunity to open for such major artists as Sheryl Crow, Ani Difranco, Shawn Colvin, Paula Cole, Roseanne Cash, and Patty Larkin, who said, “…he won\'t be an opening act for long!”

The film and TV world have also been taken by Stewart’s voice and songs. Many of Stewart’s songs have been on show’s such as Dawson’s Creek, MTV’s Laguna Beach, Ghost Whisperer, Joan of Arcadia, The Biggest Loser, and recently the new 20th Century Fox feature Fire House Dog.

Recently, Stewart has become the very first artist signed to the Here TV Network and Regent Entertainment’s new music venture, Here! Tunes. “I’m so excited about this opportunity to partner with a forward thinking organization that allows me to do what I do best…make music!” Stewart’s new CD, \"in formation\" was released on May 25, 2008.
