by Still Pending

Often touted as a young Green Day, Still Pending's sophomore effort (they recorded their first EP in 2006 at the ripe old age of 10) kicks things up a notch, staying true to their pop-punk roots.

Album Notes
It has been over two years since this talented trio recorded their first EP - they were 10 years old at the time. Still Pending's sophomore release showcases the band's commitment to their craft, as well as their continued musical maturation. Reed (age 13 - lead guitar), Grant (age 13 - drums), and Andrew (age 12 - bass), who are often likened to a young Green Day, wrote, produced and recorded Graffiti entirely on their own - a monumental effort for any band, let alone 12 and 13 year-olds. Graffiti contains newly-arranged versions of 4 of their earlier songs, along with 7 previously unrecorded originals. While the band is often compared to other young groups such as the Jonas Brothers, and their music appeals to this demographic, the parallels end there. Still Pending shudders when compared to what they consider the "over-produced" and commercialized product being pushed out of the big studios. These guys are all about being true to the music. The band's originals throw nods to their older rock influences which include Green Day, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2 and Zeppelin, as well as newer bands such as Foo Fighters, Sick Puppies and The Killers. Still Pending combines solid, driving rock hooks with melodic vocal harmonies to create a fresh, young sound that has cross-over appeal. Just check out some of their live performance videos on YouTube and you'll see that these guys are the real deal. Graffiti is a fitting tribute to what these young artists have accomplished in over three years as a working band. Take a listen and you will not be disappointed.

Just got the CD. Listened to it all the way through 3 times last night. Listening again right now. I love it! It's so incredible that these guys wrote, performed, recorded, and produced this CD ALL on their own.

After seeing them live a several times and seeing their YouTube Videos for the last couple of years, it's so cool to finally hear studio versions of these songs. I especially love 'Fall Into it All', 'After You', 'Tuxedo Man', 'Think You Can', and 'Argus'! Wow…Argus!! New territory for them, and well conquered.

Production is fantastic. The drums sound amazing. The guitar leads the way with a nice, meaty sound. Andrew's bass pulls it all together perfectly filling in all the gaps. Solos are innovative, skillful, and perfectly positioned for each song. The vocals ride nicely on top of the whole arrangement, but with well thought out and executed harmonies. Very very cool stuff!

I have no idea how these guy are able to do it. This CD would be a great achievement at any age, and is nearly inconceivable to me that these guys did it all at 12 and 13 years old.

Going to see them at the Crystal Ball Room in Portland on Sunday. Can't wait!

Great job!
Got my copy of Graffiti in the mail today and just had a chance to give it a listen. First impressions: WOW. Great job! Seriously, this is a solid CD. I knew it would sound good but the songs really blew me away. I'm 26 and have been telling friends (my age) to check out your music. We are all impressed! Most of us agree that you don't sound like "young kids" making music...you sound like seasoned musicians my age, with a nice polished sound. Most young musicians can't say that, so you should definitely feel proud!

It's great how your music not only bridges cultures but generations. It's a wonderful gift to have, the ability to make music. I'm a musician in the Boston area (drums, bass, vocals) and I wish you played around here, it'd be so neat to see you live or to jam with you guys!

I really believe in you as musicians, you are doing a great thing. Keep up the amazing work.

Awesome CD
I have been waiting for a while now and this CD has not let me down. I got it in the mail and ran down to my "studio" (or basement) and played it through the 7.1 surround. It sounds very awesome on my system and sounds great on normal stereo. If your even thinking about buying this CD do it. Its so darn cheap at 10 bucks that I would buy it over any other CD.
I just wish they included Airplane and concert tickets to the release party :P

The quality of the songwriting and production on this CD are so high, that I'm not sure I really believe that these kids did it all themselves. This is just tight, solid musicianship through and through. I have been in the business for many years and I honestly can't recall ever hearing anything of this caliber from a band this young. I have worked with many bands twice their age who cannot lay down tracks like these. My hat is off to these young artists. This is nothing but good news for the next generation of music. Thank you, Still Pending and good luck!

I have been in contact with the band since April of 2007. I have heard the new live releases of several of the songs that are on this CD today. I have to say they have really outdone themselves this time. This CD blasts the threshold of music as I know it. Andrew, bass, is incredibly skilled at playing, Grant, drums and background vocals, is amazing at laying down the beats, and Reed, guitar and lead vocals, lays down solid guitar rips along with the awesome vocals. Still Pending has changed music for me, and their CD Graffiti is worth every penny. Congratulations Still Pending.

Best Cd In Ages!
I received my copy today and all i can say is.. WOW! Seriously, these guys are so amazing. They're gonna get BIG. They sound so professional and you totally forget the fact they're young. All of the members in Still Pending deffaintly have a talented gift. I haven't stopped listening to this CD since i got it out the case! 'After You' is one of the best songs, and every song just has a smooth yet incredible sound. I can't get over how talented these boys are. You guys are doing so good so far! Keep up the great work. Still Pending are deffaintly the next big thing!

I can't believe these guys can write and PLAY songs like this and they are only 12 and 13!!! I thought they were amazing at 10 but the growth in their music is incredible. I love Argus...such a new sound for these guys... My all time favorite is still Stop Spinning and the new ending rocks. There really isn't a song on this CD that I don't like. I can't wait to see where these guys are in three more years! 5 STARS!!!!!
