Album Notes
The Stone Coyotes are a bare-bones rock family trio.

They have been taking “the road less travelled” ever since they gave back songwriter Barbara Keith’s major label advance years ago and began searching for their own sound their own way in a cellar in Western MA.

With five songs featured in Elmore Leonard’s novel, “Be Cool”, they gained national attention, but it is the grass roots, word-of-mouth response to their music that continues their momentum.

XM Satellite Radio (XCountry12 and Deep Tracks40) has their CDs in heavy rotation and they tour through MA, NY, PA, OH and TX several times a year.

Their 7th studio release is “Dreams of Glory”.

Great three piece rock! I'm goin' back to New York!!
Well recorded roots rock! "Desperate Times" is getting major satellite play, if 45's were still made "Piece of Mind" would be a top choice for the "B" Side. Don't get behind the wheel on "Back to New York", major driver!
"Streets of Laredo" shows serious versatility. As does the old stand-by "Ace of Spades". These guys do some great double guitar harmonies. BUY IT!

Wow! Please adopt me.
I received my copy of this album yesterday, and I feel like a kid in school. I am thoroughly excited about this album, and this band.

First off, with all due respect, my parents are certainly not this cool.

This being said, Doug had me "air-drumming" within the first two songs on the album. In an age of computer generated beats, Doug's rat-a-tat made me wish that I took drum lessons as a kid.

John's guitar certainly gave the band a real pair of "balls" for lack of a better word. I think this is where some of the AC/DC comparisons have come in. I don't know how much they are warranted, but I understand it inasmuch as the guitar parts infect the band's sound with a certain electricity that absolutely rocks.

Barbara's vocals are the best that I've heard from any artist in a real, real long time. In some songs, she reminds me of Patti Smith, but then I hear Lucinda Williams, Stevie Nicks, and even maybe a little Pat Benatar. All I can really say is that she is tremendously, and in a real "rock-star" kind of way.

I am loving this album, and strongly encouraging you to check it out.

thanks again and again more than a dream
an utopia

DREAMS OF GLORY could be a musical ode to Fitzgeralds' use of 'magic suggestiveness' a literary device, in his masterpiece novel, THE GREAT GATSBY. Barbara Keith's lyrics for my fave, PEACE OF MIND, exude Gatsby's belief in the green light at the end of Daisy's dock - a metaphor of the ever-elusive American Dream..while PEACE OF MIND reminds us that our reward is 'out or reach, out of sight..just over the hill... One last note, the track, STREETS OF LAREDO is better than any version in existence. BUY THIS CD!

I am mucho pleased
I live in a ghost town in the nastiest region of the Mojave Desert. Thrills are hard to come by here. I go out every day to work my mine in heat reaching 128F. I come home near death from heat exhaustion to greet my pet packrat and two desert tortoise Speedy and The Kid. Your Dreams of Glory CD had me drinking beer and dancing in no time. Thank you.

Awesome; recieved cd's as smooth as a baby's butt
Thanks for supporting lesser known artists. Stone Coyotes deserve recognition. The cd was recieved in excellant shape and timely, sharing your site with others that like indie music.

awesome recording, great songs - buy it!!
First of all, this CD just sounds GOOD!! Excellent recording, well mixed, etc. As for the music, it's a great mixed bag - some hard-charging rock, some country, and of course, when you mix the two, a great roots sound. Party Down the Hall, Desperate Times, Dreams of Glory - these will grab you right away. Then, after a few listens, you start to notice the more subtle tunes, strongly written, played well; around a half-dozen plays and you realize this is a truly GREAT CD!
