Album Notes
With dynamic, and powerful lyrics, guitar riffs, and heart pounding drums, CNY’s Stone Soul Foundation creates original blues injected heavy rock and metal. Their sound is similar to Clutch playing Black Sabbath with elements of funk. Or, as some would say, they’re like the bastard child of Clutch and Stevie Wonder! They thrive on working hard, and rockin’ hard for their dedicated fans. This truly is their life’s passion.

Since their 2002 inception in the Syracuse, NY area, Stone Soul Foundation (SSF) have performed hundreds of shows at clubs, festivals, and special events throughout the U.S. including the famed Whisky a GO GO in Los Angeles, and the SXSW Festival in Texas. Internationally known Classic Rock Magazine gave a glowing review and featured SSF’s song “Ain’t No Mystery” as the top track on the magazine’s “Super Rock Power Hour” compilation CD. In addition, two members appeared on Animal Planet’s “Hillbilly Hand Fishin” for some ‘noodling’! You can see a clip on Most recently, SSF song “Sidewalker” was selected for the soundtrack of Indie Film “SWEET LEAF”; a blood-drenched heavy metal heist! They’ve also successfully completed a fan-funding project to create a full-blown music video based on new song “Taking Back the U.S.”, and in April won a music video from a suicide prevention fundraiser Battle of the Bands. Both of those videos will be released during the second half of 2013.

Stone Soul Foundation are seasoned musicians that are truly passionate about their music, and entertaining the fans – they put on a hard rocking, full energy onslaught, melt your face performance! With their hard working ethic, they’ve recently been direct support for Bobaflex, Otherwise, Sponge, LA Guns, Pop Evil, Eve to Adam, Hurt, Smile Empty Soul, Saliva, and Devour the Day. Upstate Metal’s Jim Gilbert gave this review of SSF after the Saliva, and Devour the Day show: "Auburn stoner metal band, Stone Soul Foundation, took the stage and as far as I was concerned, this could have been the start of the touring bands. The quality of performances from this point forward made the cost of admission worth it at twice the price. This dread-lead hard rockin’ gang of misfits had great vocals, guitar licks, and the drummer set an energetic pace."

SSF was also selected to perform in Syracuse's “95X’s 35 years of Rockin’ the ‘Cuse” show in August, and are honored to share the stage with Sick Puppies, Adam Dante, Nonpoint, Trapt, Fight or Flight, Devour the Day, Mindset Evolution, Another Year Lost, Allele, and Girl on Fire. Previously they have been called upon to open for other notable musicians including Spacehog, Warrant, Black Stone Cherry, Rusted Roots' Michael Glabicki, Mountains' Leslie West and Grand Funk Railroads' Mark Farner in addition to headlining the Harley Davidson 105th Anniversary Celebration.

Who is SSF?

Sean Muldoon, lead singer and main lyricist, approaches writing and performing with equal parts raw aggression and a polished, soulful flow.

Jeff Wiggins on lead guitar captures you with his powerful heart-piercing guitar solos and pumped up crunched out guitar work.

Doug Paradise on bass guitar lays down a warm, rolling and pulsating bass to which all other instruments and minds lovingly adhere.

Shane Stillman raptures you with a solid and pronounced attack of the drums while maintaining an intricate command as they move you through a musical journey.

SSF continues their voyage by touring in support of their latest release “Electric Valley”, recorded and produced with the legendary Alex Perialas (Anthrax, Testament, Bad Religion). Their tight and exhilarating shows have earned the band the respect of live music fans across the country. You could be next!
