Album Notes
Jo had been impressed by the Milena Barrett's rendition of 'I'd rather go blind' at a fundraiser for our US tour and asked if we'd write her a song like that. We obliged with 'You Can't Push me Away from You' at the airport prior to boarding our flight for the states ahead of our 2nd US tour in 2014. Originally intended as a Duet between Jo and Danny Cox to be recorded during a break in the tour, things went sideways after Danny was rushed to hospital the day before recording. With time running out and our next tour date ahead of us, things were looking sketchy until D.C Bellamy came to our rescue, coming in and recording the song with Jo.
No one's been quite able to work out what genre to put this into. Our mate Travellin Mac calls it 'alt country blues', DC calls it old school 'R&B'.
Oh yeah. Some credits cos why not.
