Album Notes
Strange love indeed, to find an Irish-born, classically-trained harpist, Cliona Molins, deeply engrossed in the music of Latin America, in particular Venezuela, Mexico, Brazil & Portugal. Cliona plays the lighter-weight para-celtic harp in common use in Latin music & is taking it to the streets!

Her passion attracted singer & ukulele player Wendy Twibill, who was intrigued by the 4-string cuatro & vihuela instruments & their exciting rhythmic landscapes. Wendy also convenes community choirs in her local area.
Bassist & vocalist pierre luniere adds the third voice to a luscious harmony block & clearly relishes the groove potential inherent in the Latin repertoire, coming from a background of Soul, RnB & funk – he can't stand still in performance!
Let's be clear, this is not a Latin cover band. Strangelove's repertoire ranges from pop covers and original compositions from all players, to the familiar standards of the Latin lexicon!

Luscious Lilting Lyrical first album
It is very clear from the outset that this is a luscious mix of musical stories that tug your heart in every direction as you progress through the album.
Sublime harmonies from this trio lead you to a joyous celebration of love in Cabello Viejo, making you want to shout, Arriba!,
right through to the melancholic recollection of culture lost in Saltwater Women and the yearning of a better future in Utopia.
For lovers of Leonig there is Feed the Inner Duck, a lovely and loving tribute his work and a musical reminder to stop and reflect on one self.
Congratulations to Cliona, Wendy and Pierre on your first album. Just delightful!
