ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Strange Tenants are ska/reggae pioneers from Australia, who have been producing original and sophisticated recordings since 1982. This album saw the band team up with Grammy Award winning producer/engineer, Roger Lomas, from Coventry in the UK. The result, is the best recording yet released by this iconic independent band. Influenced by The Specials, UB40, The Beat and The Clash, the Tenants are unrivalled in the quality of their song writing, vocals and musicianship. In the 2-Tone tradition, many of their songs are infused with social commentary on issues like war, racism and inequality. Formed in 1981, Strange Tenants are the definitive 'independent band' still producing great music without management or any record company. Hardly known beyond the shores of Australia, where they have a loyal following - the 'Tenants Army' - their music is infectious, uplifting, inspiring, and sometimes humorous.
