ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Strawberry Hill Fiddlers, one of three programs offered by the Hudson Valley music school Stringendo, affords classical string players the opportunity to explore fiddle traditions of many cultures and eras. Fiddlers learn all tunes by ear, then arrange and enhance performances with singing, dancing and improvisation. The group rehearses weekly during the school year under the direction of Rachel Handman and Carole Schaad. Small bands are featured on this recording, each directed by a graduating high school senior: Becky, Brian, Jean, Jessica, Leslie and Lyssa.
